Okay, thanks, you two. Well, I know some of how to build a site already, and I’ve downloaded Apache already. I wasn’t really asking about how to do those things right now, but really asking how to use the apache program itself (how to hook the website up to it and have it dish the site out), but now I’ve already found the folder that I need to put the site in in order for Apache to start dishing the site out.

"Mrs. Wilburrrr," I’ll try out that website building program, too, though, because it sounds like it might be a good help for me (although I was going to have a friend do most of the building–but hey, maybe he’d like to try the program, too).

MJ, check again. If you had any kind of brain, you’d soon realize that it is YOU who actually makes no sense. If you don’t have enough brain to understand questions about websites, why don’t you just STAY AWAY from them? That’d be the sensible thing for you to do.

Yeah, if my ISP doesn’t want me to take upp that bandwidth (but some ISPs actually give you some room to do that as part of their service to you), then I’ll ask them how much they’d charge to host my site for me, and if they don’t do that or if it’s too expensive for me, then I’ll look for an inexpensive remote web host to upload to.

I might try hosting from myself at first (but using someone else as the dynamic IP updater and the name server, since I guess you can’t DNS for yourself if your IP address is dynamic, based on some highly technical stuff someone else told me), and I’ll call up some remote people (family members) and see if they can still get my contents at a decent speed. If not, then I will go in another direction with where I put the site.

A confidence trick or confidence game (also known as a bunko, con, flim flam, gaffle, grift, hustle, scam, scheme, or swindle) is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence.

History
The first known usage of the term "confidence man" in English was in 1849; it was used by American press during the United States trial of William Thompson. Thompson chatted with strangers until he asked if they had the confidence to lend him their watches, whereupon he would walk off with the watch; he was captured when a victim recognized him on the street.

Vulnerability to confidence tricks
Persons of any level of intelligence are vulnerable to deception by experienced con artists. Confidence tricks exploit human weaknesses like greed, dishonesty, vanity, but also virtues like honesty, compassion, or a naïve expectation of good faith on the part of the con artist.

Just as there is no typical profile for swindlers, neither is there one for their victims. Virtually anyone can fall prey to fraudulent crimes. … Certainly victims of high-yield investment frauds may possess a level of greed which exceeds their caution as well as a willingness to believe what they want to believe. However, not all fraud victims are greedy, risk-taking, self-deceptive individuals looking to make a quick dollar. Nor are all fraud victims naive, uneducated, or elderly.

Confidence tricksters often rely on the greed and dishonesty of the mark, who may attempt to out-cheat the con artist, only to discover that he or she has been manipulated into losing from the very beginning. This is such a general principle in confidence tricks that there is a saying among con men that "you can’t cheat an honest man."

Becoming especially common since the advent of the internet, a known scam is sending the victim a worthless check, which the victim then deposits. The victim is then urged to forward the apparent value of the check to the trickster as cash, possibly keeping a small portion of the money as a commission, which they may do before discovering the check bounces. A variation of this scenario has the victim recruited as a "financial agent" to collect "business debts." Paper checks are not always involved: funds may be transferred electronically from another victim.

Sometimes con men rely on naive individuals who put their confidence into get-rich-quick schemes, such as "too good to be true" investments. It may take years for the wider community to discover that such investment schemes are bogus. By the time they are discovered, many people may have lost their life savings to something in which they have been persuaded to invest.

The confidence trickster often works with one or more accomplices called shills, who help manipulate the mark into accepting the con man’s plan. In a traditional confidence trick, the mark is led to believe that he will be able to win money or some other prize by doing some task. The accomplices may pretend to be random strangers who have benefited from successfully performing the task.>>

I’m not saying this magic job wand actually creates jobs. What happens is that people start to get poor, or they are poor already (whichever comes first), such as Mongolia or India. These people are farmers and the government needs more skilled workers, so the easiest way for them to advance to that point is by training this people in skills. The most affordable skill to teach is software or network programming, other such things in the IT world. So all the other countries come around and get the weaker country to train their people and of course then that starts happening at home.
Through the rustbelt entirely, the only way the government knows to create jobs, for the weakening economy that is no longer functioning now as it during its peak between 50 to 100 years ago, is to expand them into a white collar skill set. Of course, the same logic these countries used is what our state governments use, and they come down to the Health Industry and the Tech Industry. Practically the same thing that countries like Mongolia do in order to try to turn their lives around.

So will that logic actually work? Is it really just as easy as waving the magic job wand? It seems really stupid to me to think that anything is going to happen from this, because all that is going to happen is more outsourcing. If we start counting opportunity, and people see the same thing in 2 places, then why not go to that other place? Why not take your business there? Why not encourage others to do so? Why wait for the walls to burn?

I don’t like that logic. I think the rust belt states should be smarter than that. We are not Tibet, we are not Mongolia or Somalia. We are the United States god damn it.

Alright, So I was just minding my own business chatting it up on facebook and it came up randomly.

I have tried plenty of ways to execute the program and delete it, but none have worked.

If I try and delete it from program files it says

"Cannot delete IS2010.exe. It is being used by another person or program. Close any programs that might be using this file and try again."

Also, When I try to open task manager it responds with
"Application cannot be executed. The file is infected. Please activate your antivirus software."

When I try and run my computer in Safe mode it results with a message similar to the blue screen of death…

I had mbam installed previous to this incident, but if I click the program….nothing happens It won’t open at all…

Please I really need help.
….I can’t run safe mode….
I am not going to restore my computer to factory default.

And I am fully aware that I have a virus…
WOW, SPYWARE DOCTOR FOUND ALL THE VIRUSES….BUT IT WON’T LET ME DELETE THEM IT SAYS I HAVE TO REGISTER…WHAT A TERRIBLE PROGRAM
If I try to download malewarebytes it gives me this message.

UNable to execute file:
C:\Program Files\Malewarebtes\mbam.exe

Create process failed; code 2.
The system cannot find the file specified.

I need some help in purchasing some anti-virus/internet protection.

I’ve been looking around and found some products. But on the description of some it will say "12month license" does this mean I can only use the software for one year?

If thats true, I want something that will last me for a very long time and not just 12 months.

I need a 8 camera system. Problem is, the 8 cameras need to be split over two sites. So 4 at site one, and 4 at site two.

Essentially for watching employees.

I want to be able to control the cameras and obviously access them remotely. Not just record (but that needs to be done as well).

I am looking at a system called "Milestone XProtect Basis+". So I get that, and the 8 cameras and wiring hardware.

What else would I need to consider getting to make this system work?

It is kind of expensive so I would like to avoid having to buy two sets of the software.

Is there a cheaper way to get this done? IE, Clearly i need the cameras. I also need the hardware computer integration and web streaming (with on site recording features in case internet goes offline).

Any advice?

I recently heard that Microsoft is attempting to purchase Yahoo!, and by doing this, they are trying to compete with Google. Here’s the thing… I’ve always thought that Microsoft and Google had some sort of partnership; for Google is always the default search engine on new Microsoft computers. Since when were they rivals? And even so, what are they competing for? Google is a search engine, while microsoft primarily produces computers, software, and other equipment. Is microsoft trying to enter the search engine business?

We have a Compaq Presario and a Dell Optiplex both running Windows XP at our Spa. We want to have the Dell Optiplex run POS/inventory/etc software. Just kind of all in one software for inventory, etc. Then we want all the records to dump on to the Compaq Presario in the office so they can be viewed by only me. I don’t want them to have internet but i want them connected to a network so that the records can be transfered to the Compaq. I need to know how to setup the network so the records can be dumped onto the Compaq presario but the Dell can’t access the permanent ones on the Compaq. The Dell can have records but not have access to permanent ones. I also need to know how to get the Dell to have a connection to the network but not accutally be able to go onto the internet. My staff hasn’t been getting work done so i don’t want them to be able to go on the net but i want the records to be transfered as they are processed
